“My teachers, especially my Tutor, have really
helped me adapt to College life. I have had to learn to
be more organised and to have better time management,
which is a great life skill.
I have also got used to walking between lessons, following the
one-way system and wearing my mask.
It has been particularly interesting to have subject specialist teachers,
and I have even started having flute lessons.
My favourite lessons so far are Forensic Reading and history,
as both of these lessons get me thinking.
I have made some lovely new friends in my Tutor group.”

“I wasn’t nervous about starting at
the College as I had had a brief introduction to
it by the previous sporting events I had taken part in
whilst at primary school.
I soon got used to the new daily routines, having to follow
one-way systems and to wearing a face mask around the College.
It did take me a few weeks to find my way around and to
get used to the changing timetable.
The thing I have enjoyed most is the varied lessons. My favourite
lessons so far are Physics, english, Maths and history. I have found
French quite difficult, but I do really enjoy it.
I only knew a couple of other people in my lessons, but I soon
got to know everyone.”

“So far, I believe that my transition to
College life has gone quite smoothly, given the
current crisis. I have settled in and made new
friends in and out of class.
We have learned our way around together, and laughed
at people’s antics. I have still remained close (not literally, we are
in a pandemic after all!) with most people from my primary
school, but I have branched out and made new
friends along with meeting up with old.
My favourite lessons are history and english.
My teachers have really encouraged me to try my
best at everything.”
