whole College community. At this service the College was delighted that our local
community Police officer, Sergeant Wilson, was able to attend, along with a number of
our own students who represented the Military Forces.
“The ceremony held at the College is a very emotional one. To listen to the last Post
played by a Year 7 student and then followed by a two minutes silence is a very special
scene to look upon,” said Mrs Taylor, Deputy Principal.

Careers Fair 2019 - Inspiring and Informative

The annual Careers Fair held on Wednesday, 27 November 2019 was a very busy event. over forty five
organisations and training providers from Plymouth and the South West were present, with over 800 students
and parents attending. This year the invitation was expanded to our Year 8 students to help inspire and inform
them prior to their gCSe option choices.
From local universities and apprenticeship providers, to small businesses and organisations with global interests,
everyone found something to interest them. From careers in IT and accountancy, manufacturing and
engineering, the building environment, to health care, music, the Police and the Forces, the range was truly
comprehensive. Students came away with excellent advice and guidance to help with their future gCSe,
A level and further study decisions.
