Jackie selected for England
Hockey Masters Team
Ivybridge Community College Humanities Resource Assistant, Jackie Anning, is
celebrating the news that she has been selected for the England Hockey Masters Team.
Jackie said, “I have been playing hockey for a very long time now, but this year I have
finally reached my full potential. At the end of last year I attended four very tough,
day-long trials in various parts of the country, which were all completely exhausting.
However, it has proved well worth the effort as I have recently found out that I have been
selected for the England Masters Team. This year that means travelling to Edinburgh for
the Home Nations, but even more exciting is the prospect of a trip to Cape Town, South
Africa to play in the Masters World Cup. The hard work and
training starts now!” We wish Jackie the very best of luck!
