Triumphant Day for the Triwizard Tournament

The College celebrated the third annual Harry Potter Day on earlier this month, with
amazing events organised by Learning Resource Centre staff. This day is celebrated all
across the world for people to show their appreciation for the wonderful wizarding
world of Harry Potter. This year’s theme was the Triwizard Tournament, from Harry Pot-
ter and the Goblet of Fire.
Mrs Hull dressed as Dobby the House-Elf, while Mrs Trafford went a bit more miserable
as Moaning Myrtle, both of whom helped Harry during the tournament. Even Flossie
the Therapy Dog got involved in the day!
The raffle raised over £70 for Lumos, J.K. Rowling’s charity of choice.
There were seven winners, who won magical gifts such as a Harry Potter trivia
game, a magic wand pen with invisible ink, and Harry Potter journals.
Overall the day was a big success, made even better by the wonderful help of
the dedicated Student Librarians. For further information regarding activities
and events held in the College’s Learning Resource Centre please follow @Lr-
